Sarah Reynolds

Sarah H. Reynolds received her BA from New York University, her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is currently pursuing her MEd in clinical mental health counseling at DePaul University. She is a Chicago-based practicing artist, painting and drawing instructor, and future psychotherapist.

Her art practice primarily focuses on cast plaster sculptures and charcoal drawings that reside in a realm of serenity and inner stillness. She transforms these simple materials into approachable forms that hover and float. The resulting artworks are grounded with a sense of lightness, two qualities she upholds in her daily practice.

Her work has been exhibited in NYC, Chicago, Miami, and Japan at venues such as Cheryl Hazan Gallery, Cheim & Read, StoreFront at Ten Eyck, Judith Charles, Theodore:Art, Front Room, ADDS DONNA, Heaven Gallery, Comfort Station, and the National YoungArts Foundation. Sarah’s work has been published in the Huffington Post, Art Nerd, The Guardian, Art Fuse, Bushwick Daily, and Refinery29.
